Further to my previous post - his mate also has a Beddy.
Sorry for the quality - but taken on phone camera as daylight was fading - you can see the time in the photo!

I Beddy spot twice a week on my way down to Exeter (A303/30) and have NEVER seen a moving Beddy. The only one is dark red, parked in a garage in Somerset and has never moved so it's probably been dumped or awaiting repair or refurbishment. The only Beddy I've seen was leaving Stonehenge as we were arriving for a little wild camp, I waved like mad and he looked at me as though I was demented. Obviously not a member!!! I would love to spot another member but how would I know until we have a recognisable badge of some description? Or are you all nocturnal and creep out after dark?

C&CC NFOL @ Pickering

Mark 1 Beddy on the way out from the NFOL at Pickering today. We waved madly at each other, and was wondering if it was anyone from here?

Didn't get a reg or photo as we only just spotted it before it disappeared behind the trees

I've seen loads of CFs lately - it must be the good weather (!)

White coachbuilt mark 1 coming going along Pinhoe Road, Exeter at 7pm on Saturday 1st September. Driver returned my wave and had a wide brimmed hat on.

Blue luton bodied van seen around Bridgwater a few times.

White and blue dropside V reg truck on Old Tiverton Road, Exeter on the 16th August (photo to come)

Anyone?

Along way back in this thread, page 3 halfway down there is some photo's of Beddy's,one of a red Recovery Truck with a Manta on the back asking who's it is?

Well its mine! The photo makes it look tidier than it really is,but then its lept to earn its keep shifting and saving all manner of cars both locally and within the Opel Manta Club nationally,i've done a Milton Keynes - Penzance - Sheffield - Milton Keynes rounder on the weekend Sheffield got flooded out! and got stranded on Bodmin Moor for hours when the fuel pump gave out,but thats another story...

Oh,and further down its posted that its an Opel Ascona on the back,no its not,its a 1977/8 Opel Manta SR Coupe, look at the rear roof pillars, they never made a coupe version of the Ascona, though the Ascona front has been put on the front of a Manta Coupe several times to create a Mancona!

I saw a white Dormobile bodied (I think) CF1 in Berkeley Square in Bristol. The front wings had seen better days and there was lots of moss on it. Anyone own up to this one?!

Had the best ice cream this afternoon. Spotted this CF1 is nice condition down our local nature reserve. It was a young girl serving who said it wasn't her van so didn't get chance to have a chat with the owner. It was an 'S' reg.

Had a lovely weekend in Mablethorpe. We had to take the tent as our machine is still having it's head done. Well, would you believe it, we saw 3 Beddy's. Two on our campsite and one up a drive near the campsite. The first was a CF1 dormobile owned by a lovely couple who let me have a good look round and it's the first time I've spoken, in the flesh so to speak, to another owner. It was lovely. The second was a CF2 or facelift with reg BAB and X, so 1982/3? Anyone here? If only we'd had ours it would have been a mini rally. Maybe next time......

This pop up was photographed in Cambridge on June 13th. The owner must had been a stall holder at the "Town & Country show" as it was in the compound

Spotted on the Bridlington sea front the next day was this coachbuilt

A week or two ago on the 7th there was a W reg CF wild camping in a layby Cambridge side of Haverhill. The steps were out by the back door.

One for the CA boys

I know we might have one or two on the group and why not.
This Debonair was photographed back in 2002 at the Cambridge Strawberry Fair.

Last week I came across it again here in Cambridge and it has since been fully restored as seen in the next photograph

Anyone know if OCW 351 P (Dormobile Land cruiser) still exists? Im getting some photos of it getting airbourne (on a crane) from when my dad took the family round Iceland 25 years ago and would love to forward pics when I get them (Ill put them on the site anyway as you dont often see flying bedfords!)
Mike
